In Sota-Ribes, we find the Castle of Ribes or Bell-Lloc. Dating from the second half of the 10th century, it marks the mythical origin of the town. Over time, the castle has had different functions: a prison, a butcher’s shop or the home of the outstanding dancer and choreographer José de Udaeta and his family. Nowadays, it is the Centre d’Interpretació del Patrimoni Cultural del Municipi, where you can learn about the ancient history of Ribes with guided tours.
